Writing 101 Day 2: I Wish I May, I Wish I Might, Have This Wish I Wish Tonight. ~Anonymous

If I were to make a list of wishes, it would go a little something like this…

I wish I had more time in every day, or simply less “things” to get in my way
I wish for one more day with my Dad, to have a little more time, than we already had
I wish my kids would stop growing up so fast
I wish I had slowed down and enjoyed the time that already passed
I wish that my house would be a home, or simpler yet, that I never felt alone
I wish that my yard was soft and was green and without all of the weeds that can clearly be seen
I wish for a career full of my passion and love
I wish for a level of poverty, that I could actually live above
I wish for an answer to questions I can not even ask and for a path, that doesn’t always wear a mask
I wish for a knowledge only for the old, and for a courage, that comes with being bold
I wish that sometimes I knew, that I was doing it right
I wish that life, wouldn’t always put up such a fight.
I wish that grey skies would turn into blue and that frowns were always smiles when I thought of you
I wish for a car that would never run out of gas and for a time, where time didn’t go by so fast
I wish for true growth and to live for many more years
I wish that my wishes were more than just a reflection of my fears
As I gaze up at all the stars in the sky, the souls of my loved ones who’s lives have passed by
I look to the East and I look to the West, I look through the sky, looking for the best
When I finally find it, the brightest star in the night
Knowing it is the glimmer of love from my loved ones and that all, is alright.
