Reblog Response: Follow Your Heart

A simple re-blog floating through my reader caught my attention simply due to the person whom re-blogged it. For those that know OM you know that you either hate to love him or love to hate him, but either way, you can’t deny that his stuff is real. So, when he re-blogs something, it catches my attention a bit easier than had I simply happened upon the post.

So there I was, avoiding house cleaning and college homework by scrolling through my reader when along comes a post called, “Follow Your Heart”. Not being the typical thing I see on OM’s itinerary of blog content, my curiosity soared. Not even a quarter into the post, my anger soared instead… and it’s not that long of a post.

Go read the post… I’ll wait. 🙂

I haven’t read the post this blogger is talking about, the post where she apparently mentions a less than socially popular sexual preference. But, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to get the jist of where it probably went. But this single post hit my heart strings in such a way that I broke my “read 3 good posts without searching” general rule I have before clicking that follow button….

In response to this post, let me start by saying that I AM a Christian. (One of THOSE religious folks, I know.)

Let me continue by saying, that YOU Christians fucking disgust me!

How can you sit there and judge others? How can you sit there and condemn others? How can you sit there and crush another persons soul? How can you live with yourself, knowing that YOU are so FAR from the God that you pretend to love?

You know that part of the bible that says some hooblah about many will say my name, but I do not know them? Guess what? Dude was talking about YOU!

Show me one spot in the bible, the real part of the bible that is ACTUALLY about Jesus and not retold by someone hundreds of years later, show me ONE SPOT, one verse, one instance, where He said, “love another, only if they’re good enough to be loved.”

I’d wait… but…

c1ddc7207df0ed4d793da32d2502f410“You can safely assume that you’ve created God in your OWN image, when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do.”

What WOULD Jesus do? He would love them anyway.

Leave people alone. Go read your bible. And for crying out loud, quit scaring Christians away from Christianity already.

  1. Yep! Yep! And yep! Who gives them the right to support their agenda while arguing and slandering someone else’s life? They should get off the high horse of arrogance and realize the god they profess to love does not condone hatred. Why the fuck do they care what others do so much anyway? I think these hypocritical bible beaters are insane, frankly.
